Canada – new entry requirements

Canada introduced a new entry requirement, known as an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), that applies to all visa-exempt foreign nationals travelling to or transition Canada by air.

Effective 10 November 2016, visa-exempt foreign nationals must have an eTA before they can board a flight to Canada. If you need help please get in touch with us or visit for further information.

Not affected by this are U.S. citizens, travellers who are not eligible for a visa-exemption, or travellers who do carry a valid Canadian visa.
